Can you run 315s on the steel ST wheels?

The steel wheels are only 7.5" wide.... correct? I am pretty sure that is what my set says on them. That is a little narrow to run 315's from what all the tire sites say.

 

i see trucks running that set-up every day, around here.

 

I too have 7.5 wheels and was told that I could run up to 285's. I want to run taller tires, but don't think I have the rim width to go any bigger

 

hey dodgezilla are you still pulling a heavy trailer with the new truck? if so please tell me how if behaves with single rear wheels. I pull and 29' cruiser and worry about sway

 

I had an 03 SRW w/ 315s and it towed just fine. It did sway a bit more than the dually but the sway control for the trailer tongue helped alot. The 315s did not squat at all even when the trailer was loaded. That was a 3500 though whereas my new truck is a 2500. I may get some airbags eventually.....

 

Thares a ton of duallys running 315's on the 6" wheels. I ran 315's on a 7" srw truck and didnt like the amount of sway towing my 10K enclosed.
