Stacks /cab noise/???HELP|||

have an 2003 dually 4 door with a leer cap on the back, I plan to put stacks on coming out of the top of the cap. Its my work and personal truck I put about 40000 miles a year. Need to know how loud are they in the cab? PLEASE HELP||||

Friend has them on his Ford, they are quiet with the windows up, but real loud with them down! Sounds good though.

If you're driving it won't matter. If you're parked for a while, try putting some coffee cans or something over the top of the stacks.

I made some real fancy stack hats. Hit the local Wally World and bought two plastic buckets with handles, and two bungee cords. Bucket on top of the mitre cut stack, bungee cord from bucket handle down to tie-down in the bed. $7 out the door.

Since then, I have de-stacked the truck. Biggest reason was the noise. Towing anything of consequence (crop sprayer, etc.) up an even modest grade was flat ridiculous. Also, with passengers in the back seat, highway speeds meant holding a raised voice conversation. Longer drives were annoying.

This is my primary mode of transportation. Was fun for a while, and then, well, it wasn't. These types of things are highly subjective. Best thing to do is get a ride along with someone with stacks and see what you think.
