No, just run the Mp-8 with a odd # smarty program, the smarty will do the timing.

anybody know what the difference between the 04.5-05 mp8 vs. the 06 mp8? I picked up a used Mp8, but I think it's for an 06. What do I need to do to make it work on my 04.5. thanks.

As one can tell I'm getting a little bitter on all the problems I've encountered w/ these TNT/R, TNT, and Revo tunes. I have yet to find one that allows my transmission to function properly and I just don't get it Betas 4.4,4.3,4.2,4.10, and good ol' 4.11 all work flawlessly. Ok, I've beat it to death by now..........
I just recently loaded the TNT tune into my truck, thought it was pretty sweet at first, but now I'm popping, stepped the timing down and was ok for the moment, now its popping again.

Is this what you were experiencing? I had the 411 loaded and was happy, but it would not pass emissions, so I loaded the REVO, it passed but it sucked compared to the 411 tune. I hated loosing all the REVO options and that is why I went to TNT, I have it turned down to sw#5 now and so far no popping but I do not think it's as strong as 411 wild tq sw#9.

I have not tried the beta 's, I would like to try 4.2, but I have an S-04 and I am not sure the 4.2 is available.

JJ, YES, along with other tranny shifting issues.... You will have popping on the TNT even on 5, I have popping on sw1(timing way down) Try something for me, put the Revo back in and run SW7 w/ RP on 3, Timing on default, Torque on 3 or 4. I don't know why, but theres a few trucks that 7 runs better than 9, and it's not a fueling issue, it's just how it is. The Revo on these settings is great on my truck and feels better all the way around than the 4.11. Let me know or shoot me a PM if I can help out any further.

Im running 4.2 on sm7 and mp8 50% and it runs good. i won't run the TNT or the Revo anymore for the same reason yall are talking about the power doesn't come on till around 2500rpms and the popping starts around 3200 so it just isn't made for our trucks that is why i will stay with my betas and mp8.

You are right, had to move my 5vr today and I popped on sw#5, crap!
I'll try Revo on sw#7, is default timing the same as "2"?

I not sure when I'll get back to Revo, pretty tied up for the next few days, then next weekend I am hoping to install my new compounds, I am sure thats going to open up a whole new set of tuning issues. But it will be fun .

Yep, just leave the timing on 0, as it comes

You guys and your pops....

Get your injection pressure/volume where it needs to be...

I popped on with dual cp3's....and guess what...it was the next wall I ran into! Even with a Raptor 150...I was dropping feed pressure like mad. Fixed the restriction (a short portion of OEM fuel line and a stock basket)...and I am back strong!

No pops..no nothing!

I am NOT saying that is anyones only problem...but it is the most common.

I could not even really see my rail gauge flutter when it happenend...it was so quick.

JJPaige are you on a stock CP3?

Yes, I know, I have already completely taxed my stock CP3, and it is not capable of supporting the TNT tune, especially on the higher SW#'s. It did the exact same thing with the "Original S-04 Smarty software" when I would add any amount of tq settings on my TST.

I am subject to emissions testing upon license renewal, so I do not have the luxary(sp) of upgrading my injection pump at this time. I will just have to stick with the milder programs for now..... Jess

That's what I thought at first, but then I lowered the TNT down to 1 stock RP, stock timing and even tried less timing, and she still pops like crazy. I don't loose RP or LP pressure. Not to mention what's obvious, there is no way in H@#$ the TNT #1 fuels harder than the betas that I run flawlessly stacked w/ and w/o pressure. I'm very aware of what running the rail dry sounds like; I was able to do that before the walbro and CP3 mods. Not to mention I'm only trying to fuel stock 03 injectors.
