Smarty-mp-8 dyno settings
Smarty-mp-8 dyno settings
I am hitting the dyno Sunday and looking to better my previous 649hp run. On that run I had the Smarty TNT on SW9 TQ3, RP3, TM3 and no mp-8. Now I am going to run the Smarty on SW9, TQ4, RP3, TM DEFAULT and the MP-8 on. Question, where to set the mp-8 and do I back off of the Smarty RP and let the mp-8 do it all (RP).
Will the TQ Managment from 3 to 4 make a difference on the dyno, or do I keep it at 3 for Tranny safety?
Should I let the mp-8 do all the RP and leave the Smarty RP on 1 or turn the smarty RP up and the mp-8 up?
Do I put the mp-8 on full or do a run with it at 50% then 75% then 100%?
Since default timing is more than 3, will it produce more power?
Hoping to get some good advice from you guys....

Duk,
I'm gonna run first run with MP-8 on 0%, second run on 50%, and third run on 100%.
I will be running TNT/R, Sw9, Tq4, RP3, Tm2, high rpm limit!
Are you going to be sparying the water as well?? If so listen carefully for timing rattle while on Tm 2, might get some since water/meth adds timing as well so does added pressure.

Copy that, I forgot to figure in the Water meth. I think I will leave the Smarty RP at Default (2) and let the mp-8 handle all of the RP. My first run will be with the same set up as my last 649hp run, with the only change of Timing. This way I can compare the #s for hp between the two timing settings (3 vs. 2)
Then the timing setting that made the most power will get the mp-8. So the 2nd run with mp-8 at 50% then the 3rd at 100%

SW9, TM2, Timing 2, RP 1
MP-8 at 50%
This gave me 25k rp at wot.
I'm sure turning the mp8 up to 100% would have bumped up the rp a little more, and made a little more power.
I never played with different TM or timing, but Sw9 made the most power as far as SW's go.
