Smarty JR Torque Management

What effect do the various TM settings have on the transmission?

They can be easy or hard on it. Also depends on what level you are running. SW3 with aggressive TM will be harder on the trans. than SW1

I'm usually able to read & understand technical documents but I am baffled by the MADS sight about what is *really* adjustable. I'm interested in the JR but I don't know if there is more than just basice power settings - like torque management or timing?
I mainly just tow a trailer but I do have a billet converter, modded valve body and a modded timing sensor (maybe adds 2 deg.) but the S-06 seems to offer much more capability to tune.

Louie - I run a 5.9 6 spd manual with the Jr and just simply set the Smarty to SW2. Don't dick with it unless you understand the implications. Works good pulling an 8000lb flatdeck and have pulled my 5er once and will spin the wheels in 2nd on takeoff on dry pavement with the 2000lb tongue weight on back. What more do you want?

I run mine on SW1, Default TM and TQ4. That gives it the most torque management, i.e. it is the safest for your transmission. I would run it on SW2 (towing) but since I already have 50hp injectors so I use it mainly for the timing to keep my EGT's in check. It is a really flexible programmer, maybe not as much as the the SR, but it all depends on what you really want or need.
