On the bully dog I am running right now I am seeing almost 22mpg on the highway. Everybody that I have seen that has tried this bully dog I have has constantly got better fuel mileage. WHat was your problems with the bully dog. On the other subject I don't really know what setting I have run the edge juice and bully dog and got the best mileage out of the highest setting. I think the bully dog will beat the smarty jr. on hp but the regualar smarty is a different story. As for timing rattle what are you talking about? THe only guys that are seeing timing rattle with any smarty products are the guys running big injectors with the TNT tune on most occasions. You'l be more then happy with the smarty jr. What kind of problems did you see with the bully dog?

on the bully dog i tried it keep on throwing code's and my check engine light would come on... wich im not sure what bully dog has now i havent tried it since jan 07. and im pretty sure also that the jr only goes to like 100hp and the bully dog has a 140hp setting or more.

The Smarty Jr was designed around good performance for stock trucks... it is very smooth and mild mannered. I found the power on it to be deceptive. Meaning it was so smooth, it didn't feel powerful... but the result didn't lie. The 100hp Smarty tune was .7 sec faster in the 1/4 mile than the 126hp setting of banks six-gun (level 6). Everything else was the same. Yet the Banks "felt" more powerful due to the way it "kicked in" at 2000 rpm.

The banks would be a better product if they widened the power range, say adding some power at 1700-1800rpm and holding it all the way to 3,000-3200rpm. It puts that burst in too late, while the Smarty is bringing a constant power through the whole range, that's why it is faster and just a better product for low end torque and top end performance.

thats what i wanted to hear something not to aggressive but very smooth over the powerband.. i figured when i get ready to get more hp id just stack the jr. with something else. but i still have stock tranny so that will be down the road... 4500 for tranny is step so ill wait for the warrenty on my truck to go out then get it done..

If you do want more power, or may want more, why not just go with the Smarty SR and keep it on sw5 (100hp)? then when you want to bump up you can just change programs.

i was going to buy the smarty sr... but figured for now a good deal would be the jr as it will be atleast another yr befor i go for more hp.. and plus i seen people sell there used smarty systems for 420 so it holds good resale price.. i will prolly update later on.. but for now this should do the job im hoping...
