well after driving in heavy stop and go trafic, i still love it. throtle is sensitive and takes some getting used to, but not as touchy as some versions have been. with 4.10's in the truck any thing below 5th gear is like driving a 2stroke once the rpm cross the magic 2k mark. in 5th and 6th its more llike a japanise bulit train.
with older wild versions it seemed like they had compressed 90% ofthe the throttle into the first 25% of the pedal. this one comes on just as fast and as hard, but guess what... it keeps building up more and more as you feed it more...
i definetly cant wait till i have a better clutch so i can abuse it below 2k, i do play below there, but im cautios because it builds boost instantly, and will slip the clutch at will.
i got into it yesterday in 5th and let'r run, i backed out @80 egts were still just shy of 1400. steady throtle 80mph was only 900deg (slight uphill)

those of you unhappy with your current versions.. hold tight this one rocks!

Smarty Beta 4.3 Impressions

First impression is HOLY CRAP, how does this thing keep pulling!? I tested sw#7 only so far. I can honestly say this version pulls harder on the low end and as hard on the top end as my quad race/smarty stack. Egts were as high as 1350 WOT. THe analogy of this thing pulling like a 2 stroke "in its powerband" is very accurate. The throttle sensitivity is the only thing keeping this from being a daily driver for me, it's not as bad as previous softwares, but it's hard for me to keep a steady foot. I'm going to check out #9, and I might turn on the quadzilla just to see what happens. I'm also interested to know if it's still "safe" to stack w/ other pressure/timing boxes, I guess my ears will tell me soon. I'll report back soon.

MARCO! Right on man!!!!!!!

Also, thanks to Bob and everyone who helped me w/ my computer illiteracies!

To tell you the truth, personally I'd reduce the throttle response quite some ( for the 03-04's ) BUT other beta testers said NO. I've discussed it with Bob, we agreed to leave the torque management where it is, for now. You beta testers tell me what you want...

Expanding further...
I hope nobody really thinks that a software that almost doubles the Hp of a stock engine should be used as a daily driver! On highly BOMBed trucks maybe but those owners already know the motto, you play you pay...
Makes sense?

Marco

Marco, Oh I understand completely, I'll play and I'm sure I'll pay as I have already. I like to drive around w/ lots of extra power on tap, but I'm sure my tranny will suffer from the TM since it's only lightly modded. The Moderate TM is perfect for my daily driving habits.

We need to get one of the 03-04 trucks on a dyno pronto. If the newer trucks went from 170 to 240, maybe the 03-04 program is around 200?
