Smarty Hot Beta tests
i noticed reduced(slightly)egt's, no rattle, and considerably less smoke for the 5 miles i drove it, until i blew the plug. the power is smoother and the throttle not nearly as touchy. then again i was always running around with the wild program on #8. i will continue testing and post it over the weekend.
i thought you had the beta?
isnt the beta for aftermarket injectors? ie: less timing? had you tryed #9 to see if it rattled stacked?
did you try the hot beta w/o the quad ? how did it compare (sop) to the previous version w/ the quad?
dam your freeze plug...... its causeing the rest of us to wait.....

Just put mine in today. Was a little wierd when I fired it up, it stumbled and smoked for a bit but then cleared up and seems fine now. I like the throttle much better then the Updated wild I had in before it, full throttle is full throttle and less then half throttle is very easy driving. I am getting alot of part throttle rattle but its had that with everything I have had on it so far, just worse now then what it was. Gona try less timing and see how that does.
Powerwise its real hard for me to tell right now cause I got to big of a charger and by the time it lites I need to shift. Will be getting a smaller charger in couple days to help with bottom end for testing then the big nasty goes back on for pullin.
I still have stock sticks for a few more days so it will be tested with both, sticks will be Flux 5+.

that and my truck seems to be a bit of an abnormality, atleast as far as fuel consumption..
any chance i can help beta software?
gus, i am running the beta. on level 9 by itself and stacked it well with the quad on 100. no rattle that i could notice. that is as far as i got before pop!
as far as compare, it was alot smoother and less smoke overall. the earlier version smoked a ton until about 25psi and cleared to a good haze. with the beta4, the starting smoke was a dark grey and stayed that way throughout the entire rpm range. it wasnt thick black, but never really cleared. which leads me to think that is fuels more on the top than it used to.
Btw, my freeze plug is in and plate installed. tomorrow gonna do the tsat mod and refill it.

Glad to hear you almost back on the road, if I got time later today I may try and give ya a shout.
Ive been running mine for about a week on #9,7,5 kinda bouncing around. Its crazy but my EGTS are down, I thought for sure they would go up and my smoke is down too. No rattle what so ever, truck runs better. Now I gotta do the thermostat mod so I dont puke coolant. I would also like to get the plate I have seen at another site that you but on blind without having to remove your trans or head, but I cant get anymore info. Also this may be a Hot or race program but it is not comming off my truck. Its way more driveable and a ton more fun.

Did you keep the MPG checked?
In order to get unbiased reports, I've not sayed a beep about what should be the outcome. Looks like I'm on the right track...

My last tank milage was up, and I only had the beta 4 on for 3/4's a tank. And it was my normal drive to work and training for the week. I will hand calc this next tank, but I can already say definatively milage is up How much we will see soon. But any increase is a good thing, and its even better when theirs more power.
will, you'll have to shout really loud to be heard from georgia, better call.
ryan. i will remove the play tonight and template it. i probably wont have time to make a few dozen of these(getting alot of requests) but i can send full size templates of them to individuals wanting to fab their own.
