If the final product ends up adding only one gauge, with a gap in between, maybe there could be a fuel pressure warning light above and between?

I'd like to have individual boost, EGT, and fuel pressure gauges, but I suppose all I really want to know about my fuel pressure is that it is above a minimum safe level...

My next idea is a new place to mount a fuel pressure gauge...it won't take a year to complete...promise!

Thats because you've been working on it for months now and you didn't tell anyone and neither did I.

Not that im giving up,but had a change of plans.3 gauge setup instead.

Dont want to end up with a possible blind spot with the A-pillar pod and no handle since the little woman is driving it 99.999% of the time.

So....Im going to go with the windshield pod.

No more anticipatiing for me,Im out.

This project was a little harder than my go get um' mind anticipated. We are still working on slightly reshaping the mold and getting the trim lines corrrect. I have a working protype...it just is not perfect yet.

All I can say is...I want it finished as bad as anyone.

IF you want a temporary fix...that will allow an easy switch to my two side by side idea, buy a cheap ($8-10) swivel mount (Geno's or ATS has them) and mount your second gauge temporarly outboard of the the single SRT-10 A-pillar mount. It really looks sharp...and the small holes drilled to mount will be covered by the new piece.

All I can say is that I've dealt with scotty on a couple of occasions and my roommate and I are both running his intakes and everything has always been top notch. Scotty delivers nothing less than perfection. If he was developing this for a 2nd gen (or maybe even a 4 gauge pillar ) then I'd wait as long as it took because I know that it would fit right the first time and would look completely factory and perform just as well. Perfection takes time.

yes i understand and can really appreciate his want for a good product. i am just amazed that this process has taken so long to get right. seems like ti would have been easier to mold a whole new pillar piece by now than to try to match edges and what not. i truly believ he is trying and it will be a good product, however its been a year. should have been kept hush hush. Automotive enthusiasts, we are an impatient bunch.
BTW when i siad i bought my steering pod, that was not to imply that i was tired of waiting for this. I am happy with my current setup although its a pain to see the tripometer

This thread would not even exist if I had not said anything about it to one person. Earlier in this thread I mentioned that.

We had the unit fitted perfectly to the side of the SRT 10 pillar only to encounter issues with door clearance...it was just too tight.

Most of what I am posting are things that would not be of any interest or concern to anyone that would not know it was in the works. As a courtesy I was posting progress but regretted it was public. Mid stream my busy season for strongman hit and then I had to redesign the Scotty 3 for the Scotty 5 that is for the 04.5-05 trucks. Afterall, it was a product that was/is a product that is available and that took priority. Top that off with the wildcat demise and a baby on the way and well...it became a lesser priority. I hustled to get molds done that blew up, then I made complete new molds... and had prototypes in place for test fitting. When I made the changes to the molds I was enlightened by the thermoformers that the individual I work with is on an extended vacation.

So there you have it...all aired out in public for all to see. Once its done I will post but if your posting is to complain even after getting something else...thats your choice.
It was not my choice to announce this. I regret that in a big way...it does damage to the whole idea.

I appreciate the good comments. It still does not resolve the issue.

One thing I do not like is to get pressured into making something that would have been a nice surprise all done and ready to go as opposed to it taking this route.

Scotty
