rpm man vs auto

hi guys,
my dad is curently thinking on trading in the ole 03 and maybe getting an auto this time,curently has the 6spd,hes asked me to find out what rpm you guys are running at 60mph with an auto and manual with diferent gear ratios,373,410 etc and if anyone has the gearvendors overdrive unit please post your rpms as well,i know 60 maybe slow but thats 100km up here and thats as fast as he goes haha,thanx for the info guys

I dono about 60, I'll have to pay attention this afternoon, then let you know when I get home. I have the G56 with 3.73s, and at 70 I'm at around 2200 if I remember right. I'll pay attention on the way home tonight and let you know

2003 373 auto dually with 285/70/17's...i am right under 2000 rpms going seventy. between twelve to fifteen hundred going sixty to sixty-five.

Here is a quick chart I threw together... RPMS are OD, assuming TQ locked 265/70/17 tires.

My dad has a 03 dually with the 6spd and 3:73 gears, I have a 03 Auto with 3:73 gears and at 100km we are both dead even at 1900 rpms. At a 120km we both are at 2100 rpms.

On a 48re use .69 for final gear ratio in OD, 1.00 for D. Can't help with other trannys.

I'll have to check @ 60 MPH.....1800 RPM @ 65 MPH. Wow, 2000 RPM @ 90 MPH!

thanx so much for all the replies guys,that gives him some numbers to work with,wow i sure like that pic of 90mph at 2k,thats wiked,now if u could do that with stock tires haha,thanx again guys
