REVO #9 vs 4.11 #7
REVO #9 vs 4.11 #7
I fun has just begun.
So I have a 03 which is running the 4.11 #7. The max ammount of power for 03-04 +130. I like it and it runs great I just want more power.
Now that the REVO out everone seems to agree that the 4.11 feels more powerful and pulls harder down low......But that's on 04.5+ trucks who have enjoyed +170hp since day one.
So has anyone compared 4.11 #7 (+130) to REVO #9 (+170)
I really really hope they release a regular +170hp for 03-04 minus all the REVO adjustments. I realize some may like the adjustability but I just want a sure fire way to get +170rwhp the first time and not after an hour on the dyno trying to figure out the magic combo for +170.

Since the Revo/TNT whatthehelleverI'msupposed to call it doesn't work on my truck, I can't comment. I do know the 4.2 and 4.3 betas get every bit of the 170hp out of my truck, 2003/555. Now, the question to Bob and Marco is; What program was the "REVO/TNT thing" designed around??? The 4.11 or a beta?

Mine too. Yes, I have tried the 4.4. For about two weeks. I would say the TNT's is just as potent but much more polished. To me the 4.4 was like flipping a light switch, all or nothing. Wasn't fun to drive on wet streets with the stock Michelins.

max boost now seen is 36# with the trailer where as previously it was 38-39# psi. I'll do some tinkering still on stock sticks. added rail pressure did smooth our some rpm rough spots that i had previously. power is smooth, smoke is thicker than before

36# too smoky for the heavy trailer, i'll play with it there, i Total RP on the gauge isnt much more than stock at WOT it just comes up alot sooner

with my 305/555 36-37 psi no higher than my old setup with 4.11 the rail pressure helps bottom end power and makes the truck accelerate much smoother and harder still top end is no different. i love the adjustability. SW#7 and SW#9 seem to be identicle for me 7 pulls feels like it pulls harder than the 9 for me. maybe im smoking crack. about 300 miles tonight with the loaded trailer on hills ect changed the tune every 100 miles. theres my feed back. so far. mileage is about the same the rp helps bottom end snap... if i up RP or torque management the smoke is considerably higher than on the old 4.11. light to moderate haze nothing horrible but notible i did feel as thoguh i had a little better throttle control with the old 4.11 for minimizing smoke.
i'll drop the RP tonight and see what happens maybe i'll try
