took out my silencer ring today and did'nt notice a difference, then took out the baffle in the intake tube and made a little, but before this I had a 7.3 with volant, straight piped and edge and that thing souded like it was gonna suck the hood in, I noticed very little on this

 

When I removed mine I did notice a good bit of difference in whistle. But not enough. I just ordered an AFE Stage II Pro Gaurd 7. That should really make a difference.

 

I did my exhaust before my silencer ring disappeared. The exhaust alone made it a bit louder, even noticable in the cab. Then when I took out the silencer ring and baffles, that's when it got pretty loud. If you don't have an exhaust, putting one on will probably make yer turbo louder as well. My exhaust is really loud though; this may have something to do with it.

 

Theres a guy running around here with a ford that sounds like that....I dunno how he drives it....I can hear my turbo at 1000rpm....Its never really loud, but loud enough to agitate the wife
