Ram Air
I fashioned a ram air setup by cutting a 3.5" hole in the bottom of my air box & attaching a piece of 3.5" black sewer pipe down flush with RH front tire splash guard and installed a 90 degree sewer elbow facing forward. A pretty good ram air setup right? I thought so but my fuel mileage has decreased about 2mpg. I know you can't get power for free and wonder if the ECU is adding fuel to make up for the extra airflow at highway speed. Any thoughts from you experts out there?

i did something like that but i used alum dryer hose to the stock fog light hole and i really didnt see a decrease in EGT's but i know im getting a ton of more air in there because my filter has to be cleaned all the time because of all the bugs suck into it now.

I did something very similar. Egt's went down 100deg when towing. Mileage suffered for the first two tanks. Mileage has since increased by 1.5mpg over baseline. No explanation???
