Rail pressure drop
Need a lil input from the fine people on this site. I have recently installed the tripple disk T.C . and V.B from sun coast, I put the quadzilla rail pressure gauge on a month or so before the T.C and V.B. I have recently noticed my rail pressure will drop from 21,000 to 16,000 after laying into the go pedal, then climb back up . I have been told to go with an Air Dog or fass 150. I was also told to go with just an Air dog pump and then instal an after market filtration system. What do you think???? Thanks again

I am cruizing on the freeway at 65 mph, I glance at my rail press. gauge and it reads 21,000 or so PSI. I roll into the go pedal and I notice the pressure drops from 21,000 to 16,000 then climbs back up. I think my pump is going out ?

No, I mean low pressure. What the fuel pressure is coming from the pump. Changed the filters lately?
The edge will pull the FP down, I do know that.

Do you have the MP8 on and what setting. Running the rail pressure 21,000psi at 65 mph is not normal or recommended just cruising. Bad for the injectors. At that speed cruising you should be around 18,000psi. As you have been told you need to upgrade your Lift Pump. It's not going to keep up with what you are running. An Airdog or a Fass, you will be good to go.

I dont know what the low pressure is from the pump, and my MP 8 is not connected yet. I think you guys are right, today I noticed a deff. flat spot until the pressure started comming back up. And as far as the 21,000 psi at 65, my mistake Iam running 37 " tires ( which are gone here shortly for some smaller ones ) That would acctually be around 75 MPH. So here is my next question. Should I go with the the Air dog II, or just the pump and a seperate filtration system. I think Iam leanning more to the AD II complete. I really appreciate your input on this, I am gonna be going to A to Z diesel in mesa AZ next month for the rest of my tranny upgrades , so I will have him install the pump aswell, Thanks again. ( $599.00 for the AD II... Not Bad)

Thanks alot for the input, the A D II will be ordered next pay day, I kinda figuerd it wouldnt be long before the fueling issue would arrise. So N.Johnson , with the AD II will I be safe to plug in my MP 8 with no worries of fuel issues ? (with my tranny upgrades of course )
