Quick question on Quad Boost Fooler
#17
Robert....whenever you decide to upgrade your stoneage smarty version, go with the aftermarket turbo selection. It will allow you to boost past 32psi.
Some boost foolers work better than others in certain boxes. The whole "slow to respond to boost" isn't right....it should shoot to 47psi at a steady rate....unless other issues are going on...like TRANS slipping or something similar.
On second thought, you've had great luck with that Smarty version. May want to hang on to a good thing. Don't fix it if it ain't broke mentality.

Durasnack....As far as I know the trans wasn't slipping. TC was locked. I was 75mph +. The boost fooling on the MP-8 just didn't kick in right away.
I should say....It wasn't slow to respond once it started. It just took a while for it to kick in....and once it did...the boost shot up quickly.
Yeah....I love my Smarty. I am def. just a little reluctant to mess with it. I noticed some guys updated and regret they can't go back to some other versions.
MikeyB....I may have to go ahead and try a newer version at some point though.

My biggest gripe with the 4.4 is the lack of adjustable power levels and TM. Love the power but had a concern over the stock clutch and what it could handle. Also found I could very easily over power the stock Michelins on wet pavement. The throttle was too sensitive for me.
In my opinion the 411 is by far the best program Marco has delivered. It's super smooth. I can shift gears with no driveline shock now. Smoke is down also.
And the throttle is more linear with the 411. But it still can spin the big Toyo's if I wanted.
At the moment I'm using stock injector/aftermarket turbo/mild TM set to level 5.
