Quick ? on AFE

The CAI in the DTR store for a 04.5 looks like it is the stage 1. If later on I choose can I just buy the tube to make it a stage 2 or do I have to buy the whole stage 2 system? I am just going to cut out the baffels in the stock tube for now if it will help. Thanks!

The AFE Stage I and Stage II are completely different systems. They use different size filters. With the Stage I you can add a AFE Torque Tube to replace the piping and canister between the filter and turbo. The Stage II has the torque tube or piping built into one piece. The main difference between a Stage I with Torque Tube and a Stage II is the Stage II uses a bigger filter with a 6" inlet and tube that tapers down to 4" at the turbo and the Stage I and Torque Tube filter and piping are 4" all the way.

Forgot one more difference, the price. Stage I even with torque tube is cheaper. I have had both and both work fine.

Stage I w/Torque Tube

Stage II
