question for TST users
I was monkeying around and set the power at 7 and te at 2. The truck did not pull anyharder so I turned it up to 7/4 where it still didn't really perform better just smoked more. I then turned it back to 5/2 where I had best results empty. When I started truck again I had a check engine light. I scanned it and it had two "crank sensor out of range errors". I think I snorted it twice at below 2,000 RPM with the 7/4 setting and accelearated to 3,000RPM. If I understand correctly the te works mostly under 2,000 RPM and power over 2,000 RPM. Did the PCM get confused with the settings that far apart or something 7/2? I think TST recommends to stay within a couple of numbers maybe this why.

Like Lucas said, I would be VERY careful dialing that much fuel with your level of modifications. Just trying to save you some headache and expense. The P0336 code is somewhat common running the TST. They have not yet found a solution. It happens under extreme load at low RPM. Turn it down to where it is cleaner (smoke) and you will find a nice setting.
If you are searching for more low-end power, you wont find it with the regular TST programming, even at 9x9. There are other ways to achieve this.

I think you may be on to something I missed. I tried building up boost and launching with engine cold just before seeing check engine light. The prior testing with TST on high levels may have had nothing to do with it sense the light did not come on then. I noticed the light after leaving buddies shop wanting to show off and engine was cold. Bet that had more to do with it than anything else. Thanks for insite.

If you go onto TST's website, they have a troubleshooting section, which mentions the p0336 code. I got a new injection harness from them under warranty for it and instead of getting the code every week, it has only happened twice in 8 months. Not perfect, but way less annoying. If your TST is under a year old, they may have a solution for you for free.
