question about a smarty

Ok I am about to buy a smarty and I know these questions have already been ask. My questions are is it possible to use the smarty on more than just one truck? Does the smarty have the high idle feature?

as long as you don't have the smarty SW's loaded...you can move it from truck to truck...but if you load it on your truck then it will not work on your buddy's till you unload it.....I believe you can change high idle and tire size with out removing the SW's but I am not 100% sure....

How does the 3 cylinder high idle feature work with SMARTY.... is it the same as the dealer high idle enable that utilizes the cruise control?

the PTO/high idle that is activated by the CC ***** is not a 3 cyl warm up high idle......all it does is give you the ability to bump the rpms up.
I dont think the Smarty does the 3cyl warm up...just the PTO high idle

http://www.madselectronics.com/Smarty06.html

On their website for 2003 -2007 trucks it states: "Cold weather 3 Cylinder High Idle is enabled in all softwares " - what does that mean? Does it enable me to use the cruise control to idle up? Or is it something different?

I would go to the dealer and have High Idle enabled, but I tried that last winter when I purchased the truck and they were clueless... maybe I'll try a different dealer.

Your right about what the website says but sometimes they don't always explain things properly.

High idle using the cruise control is enabled on 04-07 5.9 cummins engines not 3 cylinder shut down high idle, not sure about 03 trucks. Maybe the 03's still had the 3 cylinder shut down feature, don't really know about the 03's.

Mark,
Am I missing something? How, with all the mods in your sig, are you only pushing 293hp?

Thats why I came here to ask questions.... so with the Smarty, it would enable the cruise control high idle on my '07?

Yeah I kind of figured after looking again, I saw the ** around the intake and exhaust and assumed the numbers were with just that.
