Quadzilla XZT install

I bought a used Quadzilla XZT for my 2006 Dodge 2500 (5.9L Cummins) from a seller on this board.

I installed it and the module lights when I turn on the ignition blink Green, Orange, Orange telling me that it is for my truck per the instructions and the instructions on the website. But then there is a green flash and then it goes to red. Not sure on the green flash but the red is power level 3 correct - not what I was expecting for towing and mileage. I thought it would be on the green light for the XZT but I don't know really. Any suggestions?

The module itself has DXZT2 Copyright 2005 28181 Patent Pend on it. There was a letter in the original box dated April 4 2006 discussing how this unit could be upgraded to work with the Commander for $30 so it was purchase after that date at least.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

You have the right one. You are not on power level 3.

Yep if I remember reading from one of Quad's post on a ?? like this it is that way so if you have a commander the zxt is actually adjustable.. It has three settings... 25,45 and 65 or something like that..

I am pretty sure the fourth flash is like a diagnostic check type flash. If you read all the directions somewhere it metions that the 4th flash is a type odf check light and not to pay attention to it if you have a zxt.

The directions say that the first 3 tell you the applicable year, the 4th flash is the diagnostics flash and the final one is the level.

That is correct.
The XZT has 3 levels, 20-45-65hp or green, orange, red.

What you have is exactly what you wanted!

Quad,

Thanks for the information. Can I utilze the Recon with this module? The instructions or letter stated that the module would have to be upgraded to work with the Commander.

You can use the Recon with anything. It is just gauges and will not control anything.

Those instructions came with older units but, it sounds like it has been updated if it is showing the red led when it is powered up. I would say it would work with the Commander as is.

Also it would have worked with the Commander before hand, the Commander would just not de-fuel properly.
