Anybody else have the problem if so what did you do to fix. The truck is a 2006.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to a thread that discusses this.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=101402

Most likely at some point you had a strain on the fuel system. This usually either occurs when the truck is under heavy load or when the fuel system has a restriction. A dirty fuel filter could be the culprit, or it could be something else like a weak lift pump. It typically clears itself unless the problem continues to happen. Normally if there is a continuous problem you will also see a 0251, that is when you need a lift pump or a pusher pump.

This code almost never affects drivability or power, it just sees a "fuel delivery error" which equates that the demanded and supplied fuel to the CP3 was out of whack.

If you are towing heavy and running in the higher levels you may need a pusher pump?

Hope that helps.

Race Box and P0148

I've had my box for about a year now. I've had that code twice and it only happened when I was running the 100 hp setting and using the cruise control. Both times I was going down a small hill and as soon as I hit an up hill incline it through the code. I've not had that code thrown in a long time because I don't run on that setting much anymore(clutch won't handle it) and where I live there is not much cruising. I was going to send it back and have it reflashed which their tech support said might fix the problem.

Todd, me truck throws the code every time you make a full thottle run on the 100 hp or 130 hp it does'nt matter, also the engine rattles real bad with the quad on any other setting other than stock. So far I'm not liking my quad what so ever, this is the second box since last thursday when I bought it. I guess my truck just won't get along with the quad.

mine has been doing the same thing on and off for about 5 months. I am glad that I am not the only one experiencing this. do you have the throttle position wire hooked up? the latest flash of the quad does not need it and caused mine to constantly act up. unplugging it takes care of most of the issues. stick with it, quad will figure it out and will take care of you. just keep in contact with him.

Mine is of the older style harness with 3 connections. I have not had any other issues with my box. The power is smooth and the runs quiet. Mine only through the code when I was in cruise control on 100 hp setting. I've had many WOT runs without any codes or noise in the engine. The only problem I've had is my clutch spins with 60,100,130 in 5th and 6th gear. I'm convinced my stock clutch is weak. I just did a check of mileage with and without the box turned on. I got just shy of 22 with the box on 60 for a tank, and 22.2 with the box off for a tank. That's hand calculated.

I sent you a pm back, sorry I did not get to it this weekend.

You definately have a problem that we need to get resolved. I have never heard of a truck throwing this code in the stock setting. It should also not rattle like you are talking about.

When you get the pm check those things out and we can go from there. Also shoot me your number in the event I need to call you.

mine does the same thing from time to time, when cruising at constant speed and slowing down such as a speed limit change, or turning into a parking lot. never under power, and does is in 30, 60, and 130 hp. it has only done it once in 2 weeks since my last talk with roark from quad, i can live with that since it only takes a restart to clear up.
