powerpup fills different than triple dog???

My 04.5 with a pup had tons of bottom end, now my 06 with the triple fills more like a linier stock feel. I dont know if there is something wrong with the 06 or if its just different programing to help the tranny???

Does anybody know the difference? Ive been asking but have found no luck.

alright...so I'm not crazy. I had a Power pup about 7 months ago and got rid of it for the TST. I just got a Triple Dog to help out on bottom end....this thing is nothing like the Power Pup...it definitely doesn't have the same kick at the bottom.

Since I have an 03, I don't have a Crazy Larry option and I bought it knowing that...but I have to admit...this was a little disappointing. The Extreme setting on the Pup would smoke like crazy, the Triple doesn't...just a puff...not to say I need the massive amounts of smoke, but it is certainly an indicator of a difference between the two.

Now then...I did install the program with the TST plugged...I am ASSUMING this wouldn't have an impact...but I'm not sure what to expect from the Triple Dog...

The newest v2.3.2 on line has a low end power option. That should give you what your looking for.

Ok, I went Bullydog's site and downloaded the Crazy Larry version.

This feels like what the Extreme setting felt on the Pup. I did notice the low end fueling option which I don't remember seeing with the regular program. I put that on and yes...this is DEFINITELY much better! It is more linear than the Pup, but the way it 'pounces' at launch is awesome...I feel MUCH better now.

Now I just have to dyno-tune it with my TST...

there isn't such thing as Crazy Larry on an 03 or 04 truck....04.5+ only. it may read Crazy Larry but the downloader recognizes it as a 555 engine and uploads the extreme program.

i can't emphasize it enough.....SMARTY!!!!!

right, that's what I understand to be happening as well...but one thing is for sure, this psuedo Extreme version (Crazy larry download) is a far cry from the standard Extreme off the standard download.

On the Smarty note...I haven't read too many great things for <2004.5 trucks. For what I wanted, the BDDL does the trick, AND another factor to consider was dollars and cents...I got the BDDL for half the price of a Smarty...for my needs...it does well

Marco released new software about 2 weeks ago now...and its awesome. I tried the first software and hated it with a passion.

yeah i understand cost....but my truck is not only haul butt fast for a programmer, the truck runs cooler, smoother, spools faster, better throttle response, etc...its lots more than the bullydog does for you....trust me. I am a former bullydog Crazy Larry owner.

I hated the triple dog,, made my tranny shift like crap too. And while on the highway it would pulse in cruise control. I really like the diablosport predator that I have right now,, nice and smooth,, and lots of smoke, and power

Just put a Bully Dog Triple Downloader on my '06 and what a difference. Low, mid, and high ranges were vastly improved - not to mention better fuel mileage. I run the performance mode because I don't want any tranny problems. I can lay a run of rubber for +50ft or more (scared of that kind of power).

I like it for my 2006...

Just to clarify after that post i started having problems and sold the smarty.

Agreed on the horrible shifting with the Triple Dog. I did a head to head comparison the weekend of crazy larry vs hot juice/ts mp8 stack and after driving on edge power for the weekend, the crazy larry shifting drove me nuts! (hot juice/ts mp8 edged out the crazy larry by .3 in the quarter mile)
