Possible transmission problem?

I found some small oil puddles under my truck the last few mornings near the transmission/torque converter housing. Not sure what's causing it, but latley I've also noticed the transmisson shift during normal driving around 40-50 MPH. I've never felt it do that untill this past week. Anyone have any thoughts or what I should check? Thanks.

front pump might be leaking. either around the pump itself or the converter seal. tranny has to come out to do it. better to re-seal the pump. pump seal kit costs less than $50. just a PIA to get tranny out to do the job.

Sure it's not red antifreeze from the common hose leak under the turbo?

Yep, check the clamps on the hose under the turbo that first to make sure.

Some of these transmisisons burp fluid for no obvious reason. If its consistent then its a problem. A periodic thing is generally just a nuisance.

Thanks for your opinons, I checked the hose under the turbo and no signs of leaks. I also looked around the engine oil pan and tranny pan, and no signs of leaks. I can't see anything that possibly causing this, the only thing I can think of is the crankcase breather tube pointing straight down next to the oil pan. Is this the possible cause? If so, does that mean I have excess crankcase pressure and what would cause that? Thanks again.

also check for any fuel leaks around the rail or the cp3 as mine has leaked from there before and ended up dripping off the tranny.
