Hello all, today after driving about 10 miles to work I slowed to get off the highway, once stopped I loced out OD as my trip speed on this road never gets over 35mph, when the light turned green the truck was still stuck in drive, I put it in nuetral and shut it down, waited about 2 minutes and cranked it up and she drove fine, however it now feels like it hangs between the 1st and 2nd gear shift and when anything more than 1/4 throttle is applied it wont shift out of 1st, I had a trans flush done a week ago with amsoil and lube gaurd but no band adjustment, any help would be appreciated, I did a search but only came up with a few lil bits of info, Thanks

 

Perform the throttle sensor reset procedure found in the tech facts section of the banner of this page.

If the bands get too loose, the transmission will also fail to shift and hang in gear.

Also, check your throttle valve cable te be sure the end has not pulled off either on the injection pump end, or on the transmission end.

 

Thanks for the the pms and reply, I am at a crossroads here, the truck still has a warranty on the powertrain and im just trying to decide if I should let the warranty handle it and leave it stock, or just bite the bullet and go with a set up from Janettys in Waterbury, CT, they have a trans in stock ready to go with a Pro-torque converter and BD valve body and other BD goodies with a 12 month unlimited mileage and hp warranty, I wil decide by monday what to do, thanks again and any tips would be appreciated.

 

Truck is fixed, it was a combination of the bands being very loose and a input/output shaft speed sensor, I had the Amsoil removed and replaced with ATF+3 and the bands tightend, man it feels like a new truck .
