Possible transmission issue?

I've noticed recently an intermittent harsh 2-1 downshift, upshift's are all nice and smooth but sometimes the 2-1 shift is rather harsh and has almost a crunch to it. The fluid has no discoloration or burnt smell to it. There are no codes other than the EGR code that is caused by the plug that keeps falling off somehow. When I put it in tow-haul mode or use the shift paddle it doesn't seen to do it. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid.......

Are you maybe hearing the slack in the driveline at that low speed?

There was a thread on something similar to this. When it happens are you in T/H mode? EB on?

I'm hoping it's just the driveline slack I'm hearing. In tow haul or using the EB it is almost non existent. I'm really hoping that I'm being paranoid.
