Po Boy Homemade Condensor guard/Bugscreen
Hi
I was messin around today and thought I would make my own Condensor Guard/Bugscreen for my 2003 SLT CTD..The top of the AC condensor had quite a few bent fins and tha bugs really accumulate going into summer here..The bugscreen on Geno's site was nice but with half inch grids it would pass tooo many of tha Texas Bugs here..I chased down an old Freightliner conventional grill (long obsolete) and drilled out tha rivets and scavenged tha bugscreen outta it..Course you could go to any hadware store and pick something up that is suitable..I found a 4x4 chunk of steel post out back (left over from horse corral) and ripped it into a 3 inch with a 1inch lip about 30inchs long with my jigsaw..A few hours later, and it was finished and ready to install..
Just thought I would share it with you
