OK this the scoop. What would you guys do to upgrade your truck? This is want I have done so far.
5" MBRP cat back
I do have a Triple dog not even touched the truck yet.
I am looking for performance and towing.
Injectors? and etc.
I have about $5000 may be $10000 to do this.

If you have $10K to spend, get a sport bike - I used to ride harley's years ago, but have a cbr1000 now - they are magic!

 

Had a FRJ1300 Friends could not keep up with their Harleys.

 

about 5K to 7K of that 10K will get you one sweet bullet proof transmission. That would be a great start since anything to start adding for performance is going to put a big strain on the tranny.

Or, part of the 5K will get you a very nice turbo

Everything you do to your truck will lead to either of these parts needing to be upgraded. While to cash is in hand is a good time to do it.

 

I agree...Full billet trans would be a great start
all tho most op to chip/programmer then they blow the trans and have no choice but to up grade

 

In this order:

1) Get at least EGT and Boost gauges.

2) You don't need a full billet tranny for a Triple dog. But you do need at least a TC/VB and if you're going to do some limited racing (even street-type) then get a billet front shaft.

3) Stock injectors will support mid 600s hp so forget them for awhile.

4) Unless it's a must have for whatever reason, it's been proven many times that you'll need probably 550hp to require or realize benefit from a 5" exhaust. The Banks world record truck runs 4" so all us running 5" probably don't really need it, fyi. You have very good quality exhaust and if you're not losing your cat then just get the Magnaflow (nice sound) and a sweet tip and save a bunch of $$$.

5) You'll need a quality air intake system (AFE, Scotty or whatever).

6) Get a good lift pump replacement for your stock junk (try Glacier Diesel, FASS or Air Dog)

7) A good turbo will help a bunch,... try a HTT new SS series or Ind Injec Silver Bullet series. Give them a call and tell them what you want to use your truck for and what your mods are and they will best direct you to get the results desired.

(That should put you probably in the 475hp range) This is assuming your Triple Dog has the Crazy Larry!!

8) If you want to break 500+hp then add a small fueling box like the VA C3.1, or EZ. A bit more then try the TS Performance MP-8.


That should put you close to or just over the $10k. Happy motoring.
