10 different people will give you at least 6 diff answers.

To get familiar with what is available plus a lot more, I
would suggest going to www.genosgarage.com/ and
browsing through their site.

The latest fuel filter is the 7micron

You can get either the Mopar or Cummins air filter to
replace your present stock filter. These filter well and
flow enough for stock systems. Later on if you want
more HP you might opt for more flow , suggest you do
lots of reading on these forums and then decide.

I ended up installing the Amsoil (Donaldson) Eaa189
drop-in filter which is touted to be better than stock,
both with flow and dirt holding capacity.

I use Delo 400 , and sometimes Chevron Delvac 1300
engine oils but any name brand CI4 OR CI4 PLUS oil
should be good. Walmart carries these. Rotella is also
popular.

I changed my oils (eng, trans, diff) out pretty early just
to get any wear metals out sooner rather than later. You can go by your owners manual or change any time
sooner, your choice. I go an little overboard and average changing oil and fuel filters about 5000mi. but others will go 10,000 or more, your choice. Since
I am now at 31,000mi and should be about broken
in I may switch to 7500mi intervals.

If you have a local Cummins authorized dealer nearby
you can get your filters there.

Lots of opinions on this one. I never made the jump to synthetic. With standard oil I'm using Delo 400. Rotella also has a good reputation. The important thing to remember is to purchase an oil rated for Diesel. Regular gasser motor oil isn't rated diesel soot. I don't recall the exact latest rating for diesel motor oil (CI 4?).

I have been changing my oil every 10000km, which I believe is about 6000 miles. I use the house brand 15 / 40 in the summer, and 0 40 in the winter. I have 110000km (aprox 70k mile) and my oil is still nice and honey colored all the time, and my truck runs like a top

Same here except i run full syn all year round, AFE makes a drop in air filter that you will be happy with, more CFM and same filtering as stock.

0W40 for Grande Prairie is definitely a wise choice.

I use Shell Rotella Synthetic 5w-40 and a Purolator L45335 oil filter. I ran that combo for 89k miles on my 01 and have 34k on my 05 running the same.

Here's another one of the opinions referred to in the first reply.

I have used Valvoline Premium Blue since my first oil change. I bought my first set of fuel and oil filters at a Cummins shop. I now buy them from genosgarage.com in the 4/2/1 kit. This is 4 oil filters, 2 fuel filters, and 1 air filter. I change my oil and filter at 5,000 miles, fuel filter at 10,000 miles, and air filter at 20,000 miles. The filters from Geno's are Fleetguard except the air filter which is Mopar.

It is most imperative to choose an oil that it is diesel rated. This would be CI-4 or CI-4+. I believe I have read that they are coming out with a new rated oil if it is not out yet.

I change my oil, oil filter, and air filter at 10K. I change the Fuel filter at 20k.
I use Chevron oil from Costco.

Almost 60k miles and no known issues.

do an AMSOIL oil change using the AMSOIL 20W50 Heavy Duty Diesel 25,000 mile/ 1year oil change with the AMSOIL Absolute Efficiency 25,000 mile / 1 year oil filter. Its worth the money, check out their web site.
http://www.amsoil.com/ it will be delivered to your front door.
