Question Oil usage between oil changes

Anyone with an 03 up noticed any oil usage between oil changes?

Not on mine, mine is spot on where I filled it too, with the Fleetguard Stratpore filter it takes 13 (that actually puts it a tiny hair over the full line) but it stays there and hasn't used any in 3 thousand miles (only checked it cause I have a long drive comming up) How much is yours using?

Well i put 12 qts in at my last change with a oem filter and to be truthful.......is about a 1/4 inch under the line. The truck had only set for 15 minutes when i pulled the stick. It the first time i checked it that it hadnt set over night. Just curious.....Im one of those paranoid types when it comes to my truck.

I don't think you are useing any oil, it seems to take quite a while for the oil in the engine to drain into the pan. After changing my oil and starting the truck to top up the filter(i fill it before installation) and then topping the oil up to the full line i noticed after sitting overnight that the oil was about 1/4 in. above the full mark, now after a change i fill a little short of the line and check the next day to find it is right on.

No oil usage here. Roadrat is right, I usually wait for about an hour after shutdown to take a reading. Takes quiet a while for all the oil to drain back into the sump.

If you are +- 1/4" you are good. Positioning on level, or loaded/unloaded can make 1/4" difference easy.

I use a little through the winter, maybe 1/2 a quart.

During the summer I see no loss unless I rev it above 2600 for any length of time.

I usually shift at 22-2300 and have no problems.
