Filter Change In Between Oil Changes?

As a new diesel owner I've noticed that the oil gets extremely dirty in a very short time. From what I understand, this is normal but I was thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to change the filter within, say, about 3000 miles (about 1/2 the 7500 mi. oil change interval). In my way of thinking this would be cheap insurance, just the cost of the filter and 1 quart of oil. What do you think of this procedure, or is it entirely unnecessary? Thanks in advance for your comments...

THAT IS What I have always done ...and use stratapore filters... they have a better filtering media, Flip

P.S. Fuel filters need to be changed @ 5000...when you drain the bowl to change the fuel filter re fill the bowl 3/4 with fuel OR conditioner

in the tech link there is an awesome HOW TO on that...here it is...https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...n&onlynewfaq=1
