Can anyone let me bend an ear and get a few questions answered about the smarty s06 tuner that I got with my truck?? It's having some issues or maybe I am and I want to get the most out of it, mainly looking for a touch more power and better fuel economy, also using it to recalibrate speedometer....

First plug the Smarty in and see which program is in the Smarty. It should read something like 4:10 xxxxx ,4:11xxxx or 4:14 and then explain what issuses you are having.

So i plugged the smarty in and the opening screen reads
Smarty v.4.14A DR1.1S
I checked the error codes and got one
P2127 accelerator pedal position sensor
I tried to connect truck with ecm update and got
WARNING ECM CHANGED
so this tells me this is not the stock or factory ecm right? won't the smarty tuner only work with the ecm that it has been uploaded to unless returned back to stock?? what needs to happen now??
For the #2 option on data read I get
Torque 2
Timing 4
Rail Pressure Default
Wastegate Stock

I don't have the usb port connector wire for the smarty either, I got the truck used and it came with the smarty, no directions and no usb port connector, i downloaded and printed directions from the mads website so that's a step in the right direction.
Also I can't get to the screen to load the catcher software version, is this in relation to the ecm being changed??
That's about all the info that I can come up with and thanks in advance for any help!!

I put some miles on the truck today and it really needs the front end fix with a tie rod, one more thing to add to the list, the check engine light just stays on and I didn't get a code for it on the smarty...any thoughts??

Try the ignition key ON/OFF/ON three times to get the codes to show in the odometer display panel.

Not sure about the ECM change warning. Is it the ECM Update menu? Can you enter the ECM Update menu to change the power levels?

It might be one of those 03 issues where the ECM doesnt have the entire VIN in it. Give Bob a call, I'm sure he can help you out.
