Night at the Track

Well last night was my first at the track with the CTD, there were some other forum members there too-- good time had by all.

Not really familiar with the stories all the numbers tell, except of course the final one. I'll post the best slip below, the more experienced at the track here can decipher them for me. The most fun run I had was beating a late model Ford SVT Lightning with supercharger and nitrous... he was faster overall (his 102 mph vs my 95.2) but I beat him by virtue of better reaction time at the light. Boy did I get the stink-eye from him going across the finish line!!

For the best time slip I had:

Reaction: .096
I1: 1.849
I2: 5.552
I3: 8.692
I3 MPH: 79.114
I4: 11.423

E.T.: 13.76
MPH: 96.650

So, whaddya think??

What kind of numbers do you put down on the dyno? Are you running on stock tires or bigger? Those are good numbers keep moving forward.

I have not dyno'd yet. Supposed to next week though. These runs were with 33" tires.

Thanks!

Actually, there were some other forum members there; I don't know if they took any pics or not. A couple of them had some runs in the low 12's...

Zowie, fast. It is funny how these big, heavy trucks are faster than the hot rods I had through my teens & twenties that were considered fast.

Ok, I am going to critic your time slip. Plz don't get sideways. This is what I think the times are.

R/T at .096 is pretty darn good, no matter what kind of light system.
I assum I1:1.849 is 60' time; that is also very good.
1/8 time seems ok, but should be better based on 60' time.
Same with 1/4 ET and mph, should be better based on 60' time.

If you beat a SVT Lighting at that ET then I suspect he had problems. I have ran a few and I need to be in the 12s to have a chance most of the times. With that 60' time I am normally in the 12.7-8s ET range at around 106-107mph.
