Hey everyone , new to the site and to diesels , and already my 1st problem , I made my 1st purchase from Larry at D.T.R. Thanks for all the suggestions . I recieved the Quad tow box first and installed it right away real simple , ran great for four days and then It coughed and sputtered and shut down while doing 60 mph on the freeway ,pulled her over and restarted no prob. for 5 miles then did it again ,plugged in the bypass ,ran fine for about 15 min then check engine light came on and stalled I then moved the connections at rail and map , when I touched the map the truck went nuts and stalled , so i removed the harness and ran the truck about 25 miles back home and all was ok . by the way code p0192 shows now, any suggestions on what I should do would be appreciated . Sorry long first post.

Sounds like a loose connection, recheck those plugs

Almost definately a connection problem if it had issues with the bypass in.

Look inside the plugs both ours and the factory connectors to make sure no pins have been pushed down or might be making a bad connection. I would start with the MAP connection first as that sounds like your problem.

The code is almost definately caused by the map sensor.
P0192
Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input


If the MAP had a funny reading it probably thought your fp was too low for the boost that it was reading.

The other thing you need to look at is the 12pin connector. Make sure all of the pins are ok in it as well.

 

Does code P0193 "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High" relate to the map sensor too? Or popping the pressure relief valve? Got this code with running the Juice yesterday on 5x5.

Yep , bad connection at the map sensor , removed it and pinched the female conn. tighter and now everything is normal ....for now...more mods to come.
