Question EZ Module EZD1000D

Can anyone tell me whether this module just increases fuel pressure or does it also change timing and duration?

The one I have(EZD1000D) is fuel pressure only, no timing or duration. I think all Edge EZs are fuel pressure only.

You are right about what it does! But you NEED gauges if you are going to run it on any level, just more so on the higher levels. These trucks can hit the max EGT's stock and go WAY over with the box.

You dont need gauges with an EZ unless you are towing.
Hotrodding around town with an EZ does not warrant gauges.

Ok, yes the MAP connection is used. I assume this is the monitor/fool boost for the extra fuel pressure. I have not tried the EZ by itself on a stock setup. I did have a DR Performance 85hp fuel/boost pressure box that on sustained WOT would push EGTs over 1500* empty. Did not have that box for long.

The answer is yes, the results are subjective. I certainly would not do this without full gauges.

I think I read once that there is actually some timing change as a by-product of the pressure increase.

Well I suppose timing could be affected by fuel pressure and boost fooling, but not by changing the ECM timing and duration programmed maps. The EZ does not have link to the ECM to do that with.

You are correct ........ I said as a by-product.
