Bypass filters
I am just installed a Frantz TP (toilet paper) on mine. Bought the cannister on ebay and pieced together the lines of it. You'll get a lot of different answers on which one to use. Here is a breakdown to make an easier choice.
Frantz or Motoguard Tp filters - Filters the best but requires more frequent filter changes. 2-3k miles changes.
Amsoil - Spin on element that can stay on as long as 60k but doesn't filter as good as tp. Replacement filters are pricey$$
There are a few others but it depends on what your preferance is. Cheap filters but more attention or more expensive filters that require less attention. I don't mind the tp taking more time to service if it filters the best.
Already after 200 miles of the frantz in place on 12k miles amsoil the motor runs smoother like it just had an oil change. Hope this helps.
