Need a FCA

I am having trouble finding a new FCA cummins says they might be on backorder until Feb. Dealer wants more than double what cummins does and I've only found one place that sells them with the bosch part number. I need this soon truck sometimes has trouble stabilizing rail pressure and is starting to ping worse. Thanks

Thumbs up Hope this is some help

It's not the answer you are looking for I know, however there are plenty in circulation in the Chrysler system. I know retail is $202. You should be able to get one Wholesale for about $150. Part # is 5183245 AA. The best part is that it will show up in a Cummins box with a Chrysler label over the Cummins label. Only two dealers in WY show to have one, Casper and Riverton. Had a similar problem on one of my trucks. The FCA was chasing the target pressure but couldn't keep up. Knocked occasionally, stumbled some.

I've needed to put on in my truck for a while I've had the intermittent sticking high idle for over a year now. Now sometimes when I start it it will hold enough pressure to idle but won't build anymore when I rev it so it blows blue smoke until it unsticks then all is well. Dodge dealer here told me $217 which is $122 more than cummins.

You can get a modified one through Shane at PSI Components. It comes in the Arson Kit that is claimed to make your pump flow 30% more fuel.

I just bought 2 FCA's last week. Cummins Intermountain said that 100 were due into the factory last or this week. I paid $95 + tax per FCA.

I found one on Hoeslidiesel.com for about the same as the cummins price. The cummins place called back and now said I could have one by early next week but I already ordered one.

question i replaced one last week on friends truck didnt fix it, not saying it want yours, just wasnt the prob. here. question is when it is bad what will the truck do, i to paid 95. wished it would have fixed his problem, rather than replace right off, its easy to remove, do that and take all apart clean with carb cleaner and replaced see if this helps you , hey its just your time give it a shot, theres a spring and a plunger inside nothing scary, i could see if it stuck and not slide it causing an issue, just dont know what kind, anyone.?

My truck has had a problem with the idle hanging at anything from 800-1000 rpms for over a year and I've heard of this problem being fixed by a new FCA. Also my truck has a very intermittent power loss accompanied by low RP which I'm hoping the new FCA fixes.
