muffler questions

I am running the 4" MBRP system,, sounds awesome,,, till I am pulling something,, then the drone in the cab is crazy,, between the turbo whistle and the drone from the exhaust a person could go nuts, even with advanced twisting on the NRU know,, no luck. ( btw the NRU is the stereo )
Anyone go to a quieter muffler on these,, or any ideas to stop the drone??

I'd like to know, too. I put on the 51" nelson and it sounded like a trashcan. Then I stuffed it with fiberglass, wrapped the whole muffler with another 1" of fg and another complete sheetmetal cover and all was great. Then I put on an Aurora 2000 and it got louder and has the drone now. What to do, what to do?? Craig

Aeroturbine 4040L

I just had a aeroturbine 4040L installed. This muffler has a built in resonator in the muffler. Noticed a difference in performance, when you give it a little throttle to back up or go forward there is no lag. I was fine with the stock muffler I just wanted a free flowing muffller, and debated between the MBRP and the aero. I really like this muffler no drone and just a little louder than stock.

Hey Kevin,, do you think that it would be difficult to fit that muffler into my mbrp system?

try a tip and slide it out past the fender a good 3-4 inches. that seems to help too

Try going to Dieselpowerproducts.com for the aeroturbine. The 4040L is the one with the built in resonator in the muffler
