muffler install question

I have a MBRP muffler and I'm wondering how folks are getting them installed ? The factory muffler has an offset between the front and the rear. The MBRP won't just mount to the piping. Did anyone have to weld hangers to their muffler ? Which way is the correct flow for an MBRP.

offset pipe

When I purchased my Aero, the place that I had ordered from also sold an offset pipe to make the connection work. I would have to do some searching, but I am sure I could find out where I got it if you need to know. And, the muffler should have an arrow or the word "flow" with an arrow on it, or one end should be expanded to fit over your current exhaust pipe.

I used a muffler delete pipe and put the Donaldson 40" up where the cat was.

most exhaust manufacturer's muffler or cat delete pipes have an offset for that reason.

My MBRP muffler came with the offset pipe in the box. The little "nubs" inside need to be pointing open ends towards the back...

Thx for the reply's. I bought the muffler second hand for $50 bucks. There are no hangers attached to it. Do they come with hangers or does it not need them ? Any info as to where I can get an off set adaptor would be helpful.

I just got a piece of 4" stainless, cut the cat and muffler out and welded the pipe in their place....sweet!

I set mine up with two 4" x 45's for the off-set and tucked the muffler up as high as it could go. Had to weld hangers to it as well.
