Ive ran a couple mufflers and I like the diamond eye the most. it has nice deep tone and it fit good. I liked it alot when it was on my truck and I may put it back on my truck soon

I've had good luck with the Flo-pro twister muffler, nice rich tone and not raspy at all. You really can't go wrong with mufflers, its more what sound you want than anything.

I bought a 40 Nelson from my local Cummins dealer for $67. 4" straight through, not obnoxiously loud, nice rumble to it. Pics and part numbers in my gallery...

I have the Aero Turbine. After getting rid of the stock muffler I am sure that anything that actually flows will be a major improvement over that. The Aero was a bit pricey but so far I have no complaints.

Fisherguy, Does that nelson muffler have any annoying drone at highway speeds? Im looking for a straight through muffler, and i want to hear the turbo good outside the truck but would like it fairly close to stock noise level inside with windows up....kind of a hard combination to get.

No drone, sounds stock at an idle, nice throaty sound when you punch it and it souns like I get a bit of a whistle from the exhaust, but if you want whistle you should open up the intake. (...can't tell by your signature if you've done that yet)

I got the 40" cuz I wanted it a little louder than the 51" which is laso very popular on here.

No matter what muffler you get make sure it's supported well, any little vibrations will give you grief. Try doing a search on Nelson and Donaldson mufflers, lotsa godd info...

I've got a 40" Donaldson straight through muffler, with shipping it was $67. Sounds just like what the nelson guy described. I guess it's your choice!

I had put on a Silverline 5" turbo back and it came with a straight thru muffler. I liked the sound outside the truck but inside the 2k rpm was to load/drone. I added a 51" donaldson and love it. It is still load outside but inside is very tolerable. This muffler is BIG. When the box showed up I was concerned about fitting this on the truck. It went on without any trouble and I like it.
