Washboard

I wonder if the mini packs would help with washboarding dirt roads? My truck likes to make washboard roads, I end up running around in 4x4 on dirt roads and turn roads just to keep the roads smoother.

The mini packs should help you here. I will say it depends on how fast and how bumpy the roads are. The full leafs allow for more articulation than stock and mini packs. Soaking up more bumps and stuff for a smoother ride....

They are a good start, but you could get addicted. Also don't forget a proper valved shock.

depends haw they are valved and what they are intended for. I am not sure.

Typically when dual shocks are used, they are set softer than a single shock from the same source. Many times they are used to get more piston area and more cooling instead of going to a RR shock with a larger piston.

So going to one could be way to soft conceivably.

If they are two shocks that are used in a single application typically, then yes I think they could. Basically just the two are better than 1 theory with out changing valving.

This is one reason I went with a re valve-able shock. I can change it out to my liking when I want and they should last "forever", LOL

So I guess I don't know for your particular application.

Yeah but Deaver doesn't want to help us Dodge guys. It's like Kent Kroeker has strong armed them into making us buy KORE leaf springs.

That has changed.........Carlis springs are custom deavers as well. The avg guy would do better buying a custom from the guys that spend a lot of time testing the different combos.
I am going with a set my self on my 2nd gen from Carli real soon.

Sandy farm turn rows, going about 30 to 50 mph. Mud tires made it worse too. Little bit of air in the bags and it's lots better, but hit a good sized bump with any air in the bags, and it'll take your back out.

I did not notice you had air bags...........take them off! they limit travel too much. Here is what I use.long travel air bags

A Friend of mine down in San Diego pulled his firestones off and added these,he was amazed at the improvement.BajaBob you out there?

those do look like a cool air bag setup. I just done tow that much to warrant them.

As for the off road ride, I also adjust my air pressure in the tires if I am going to be dong allot of off road driving. That can help out with the ride. Like Bob said, dump the air out of the air bags, only needed for towing. That will definitely make the ride worse.
