How Mini Leaf Packs affect 2500 ride?

I have been trying to figure out how to get a bit smoother ride in my 2500/cummins 600 and was wondering what everyone's experiences has been when adding the mini leaf pack to the rear. I know I will never get it to ride like an suv but it seems like I should be able to get it a bit smoother.

Also, how do the mini leafs do with a load? I have a 5th wheel with 2500 lbs pin weight that I need to carry also.

Has anyone tride the Lorenz dual purpose leafs? They sound good but what doesn't sound good in the add.

I have the lorens mini leaf packs. The take out the initial bump out of the ride. better than stock. I only tow about 5000 so not sure I can say much about the load with a 5th wheel.

as for the dual purpose leaf. I have not installed them yet but will soon.

Mini packs will make the ride drastically better empty...having said that, my tag has a 900# tongue weight and it'll drop the rear about 4-5". I'm currently testing a set of long travel air bags that will take your pin weight and still allow a full 10" of articulation when empty.

Looks like Sean has the same idea about his leaf packs as he does about his "IR" coil....I hope his packs work better than his coil does. Looks like there's a fair amount of compression in that spring before it hits the overloads.

****, that much, huh? I was about to buy the packs and shocks from Don, but my travel trailer has the same tongue weight, and then I load a 1200 lb golf cart in the bed. I guess I'll have to continue waiting for those bags...

I dont see 4-5" of drop with that much weight on the rear. Not that I put that much there very often.

Cowhand, is that on your 2nd Gen, or a 3rd gen? Wondering if the spring packs are different.

That's on my 2nd gen....3rd gens have a different shackle configuration and the rear spring rate is a little lighter.
