lost on boost fooling!

I have a boost fooler connected at the factory wastegate to keep from getting overboost codes. But now I am hearing I may need one that connects to the map sensor, to fool another area of the computer? Was told some of the pressure boxes contain boost fooling and would help my truck especially bottom end. I am lost, just reminds me how little I know. Can anyone explain this to me, and give me suggestions, Thanks Rye.

I think what you have on the electric soleniod is a jumper to keep the ECM circuit happy. This does not do boost fooling.

Quad sells a boost fooler that should work well with your BDTD. Read the details and explanation below.

RamWheelsBy4 is correct.

The one fooler is to keep the wastegate circuit happy. It is not really boost fooling. When you unplugged the wastegate actuator plug you need something to keep from setting wastegate codes.

The Boost fooler will keep the ECM from seeing too much boost so that you can pump as much air into the motor as you want. If you do not do boost fooling and the ECM sees over about 33-34 psi it can and will de-fuel the best it can to keep from getting an overboost condition.

You may also try an mp8, it will add a little fuel low end and I hear it plays real well with the bdtd, and it does boost foolin, I could hit 44-45lbs with just the mp8 on my truck.
