I have been reading up a good bit lately and I keep seeing "boost fooling". I have done a search but I gave me more threads than I could read so that is why I am posting. So what is boost fooling? And on a side note i have an 05 dually with the quad race box and I am having a hard time deciding in what to do next, should I stack another box in there, injectors, new turbo? I wont be doing any of this very soon as I need to get an SB and the FASS but what should I do next? I pull livestock and race (just locals) and I want to be able to do both and have seriously thought about getting into pulling so any and all advice is apreciated. oh and one more question what clutch should I go with, for a daily driver and I would like to get somewhere b/t 450 and 500rwh, sorry for the long post.

 

dont know is the quad does this or no,the ts powerplay does a great job of boost fooling.thats waht i like the best out of those i hace tried

 

As simple as I understand it, "boost fooling" is fooling the ECM into thinking you are making less boost than actual. So no over boost codes happen or ECM backdown.

Not sure what would stack with the Quad boxes since they do some fuel pressure along with timing/duration.
