Longview Tx shops?

Hey there gang,

Anybody know of a quality shop in the Longview, Tx area?

I am looking for some basic maintenance work (valve train adjust) and some head studs (and possibly fire rings).

Suggestions?

Thanks!

I cant help you on a shop in Longview. Is this work for the truck in your sig? If so the fire ringing is not needed nor is the headstuds at the level you're currently at. Factory head bolts will hold fine up to 45-50lbs of boost.Headstuds have held 80lbs of boost with the MLS headgaskets that are on CR's. If the need ever comes for more than that you will want to o-ring the head. Fire ringing is more for competition use and not recommended for daily driving.

Thanks for the info!

I am referring to the truck in my signature. I'm wanting to go with twins and wanted to be ready up top.

I'm making 31pounds boost right now.

Still think I'd be good?

If you are gonna run twins then go ahead and do the headstuds. Good insurance.

I may know somebody. He works another job during the week.... but he works on autos/pickups on his days off. He's got a shop out near Hallsville.

White Ghost, I hear you on the "do it yourself" and I have done almost all my own work as long as I can remember. I did the FASS install, new stereo amp and sub, new torque converter and valve body, tapped exhaust manifold for pyro, replaced A/C mixer box (whole dash removal project) etc. just wanted to check into the machine work for the fire rings and thought about the valve train adjust and head studs at the same time.

I will definitely do the twins myself too
