LED lights & "lamp out" on overhead???

I have a Hillsboro aluminum flatbed on my 07' cab & chassis & when I pulled the 6 brake/turn signal lights out (2"X6" oval) & installed all LED lights back in their place I'm getting a LR & RR lamp out reading on the overhead?? I know it's because the LEDs don't draw enough current so therefore the computer thinks theres a bulb burnt out, but my ? is how would one go about running LEDs w/out having this problem????? thanks alot, Dusty

try looking up 'load equalizers', they will make that pesky light go away, hope this helps

load resisters (equallizers) should stop that.

Sorry to hijack, but how hard are those to install? I think those may cause my problems to end with my plow on the truck and my LED's. Thanks!

all you do is tap into the power wire for the bulb, thats about it

I wonder if that would take care of my problem.... I get lamp out with my snowplow on the truck and the parking lights on only. Turn the parking lights off, and lamp out goes away.

Hey Dusty this webpage here: http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm has your fix. I spliced 6 ohm "load equalizers" on all four corners of my truck to get rid of the lamp outs and fast blinkers. They're easy to install: http://superlumination.com/images/leds/installation.jpg Or if you don't want to splice into your sealed harness figure out which "flasher" you need and go that route.
