Head lamp &interior lights "flickering"
I noticed this morning that my headlamps started flickering. They are not turning totally off, but Its like the intensity of the beam gets lower then higher, then lower. All the lights do it to, whether interior or exterior, or low beam or high.
I am wondering if this could be alternator related? But the amp gauge does not move when this is happeneing.
I know I need to move my speaker amplifer's ground to a better spot too. It is causing some road noise. You can hear a little bump when the lights start "flickering" .
This truck has 2 different batteries too. ALthough it starts up fine, could this be battery related?
In my 1997 dodge, I had the light switch go bad on me one morning, and almost caused a wreck. I want to find out what is causeing this, becuse I dont want another problem like that. I read on here about the multi-function switch getting dirty, and to work it back and forth between hi & low. I will try that, but in the meantime I am open to suggestions.

Is it doing it on first start up, for about three minutes? That would most likely be your grid heaters cycling. Check the relays on the drivers side fender, down low. Are the grid heater leads tight? They have habit of loosening. and creating havok. I'm not sure how cold it gets down there, but If it does not get below 60 much, you would not see the heaters cycle very often

check alt voltage, check the maxi fuses, if good pull the grid heater contact from power I bet that is it, if not maybe you have a 10,000 watt amp and are sucking the batts dry
