King Shocks
#31
I wasnt gona argue but I coulda swarn that Don told me I would loose some payload. With a 20,000 lb + gooseneck on my truck it will sag some but not bad enough to worry about, even with the leveling kit it isnt that that far nose up, if I you dont loose any payload with the minipacks I would definately look into that.
Anybody else have any opinion on this?
(sorry for the highjack)

Yeah, you'll lose some payload, but not nearly as much as with a full pack.

As for the Lorenz Dual Purpose leafs. What I meant was w/ the bump stops you have a higher spring rate than stocker leafs. You'll still sag w/ a load.
Anyways, we seriously hijacked this guys thread.

I have a little data on the mini-packs... I haul a 1600 Lb slide in camper. With the stock springs (with lift blocks) it would sag 1" when I put in the camper. After I installed the min-packs and pulled out the big overload bar it now sags 1 1/2". For what I haul and how well the truck handles now, I consider that a very considerable trade off.

Getting ready to upgrade to king shocks....anyone have the correct valve rating? I'm running carli 3rd gen coils in 2nd gen(heavy replacement front bumper). Thanks!

Anyone rebuild and know the valve or shim setup for king shocks for those running carli or thuren coils? Or do I need to ship my kings to them for setup? Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, that info is proprietary to Carli/Thuren.
I don't think Sage or Don would appreciate someone posting this info in a public forum.
A re-valve by either shouldn't be too expensive.

I'm running Don's stage three in front and two in rear with a little tweak for the camper. He went with two in the rear due to the Carli LT's. My axle weights w/camper are 4400# front and 4000# rear. The single cabs are quite a bit lighter.
