What's a set of King's cost? I'm getting ready to install a Top Gunz 2" spacer in front and 2" blocks in back. Can't figure out what shocks to go with though. 5100's seemed like the common thing, but I think pulling the 5th wheel could use something bigger myself.

You can buy them through Don Thuren w/ towers for $1,500. That is a pretty good deal.

If you are going that route w/ the Kings. Then I would ditch the coil spacers and rear blocks idea. Get replacement coils upfront to compliment the shocks along w/ an mini leaf in the back.

If not, then go w/ Bilstein shocks w/ the spacers and blocks.

would it even be worth it to run the kings vs bilstiens on factory springs with spacers?

What about 5100s on the front and 5150s on the back? Would that be worth tryin?

I thought about using dons coils in the front but I cant really use mini packs in the back cause I need the payload and I dont really care to go to the effort or expense of runnin bags in the back so I figure dons springs in the front may not be worth it if I keep the rear springs factory.

5100's are really really hard to beat.

For OEM spring rates...I give them a thumbs up!

Try to get them from Lorenz...he has some with almost no rear compression damping.

As far as I know. The mini leafs will not have effect on factory tow/hual rating. Bump up to the full leafs then you will lose some tow/hual capability. That just means your going to squat more in the rear end. Regardless of stock, mini or full leafs. W/ a heavy load your going to squat and need air bags to level out.

The only one that will be true to payload as stock w/ full leafs. Is Lorenz Dual Purpose Leafs w/ the bumpstops.

He is two weeks out from the time I ordered them. So next week they should be sent out to me. I will take some pics after I paint them.

Last weekend I had (5) 80-lb Toyo M/Ts in the bed of my truck and my 8000-lb travel trailer hooked up, no weight distribution bars, and the rear mini pack sagged about 1"-1.5". The mini packs do a pretty good job of carrying a load. Start getting upwards of 1500 lbs and you'll notice the sag.

That my friend is a very inaccurate statement.

On my 96, with the mini packs.......if I don't air up the bags, the back end will squat about 3-4" with 900lbs of tongue weight.

But it sure works nice unloaded...
