OK,, AFE,S&B,VOLANT,SCOTTY ect ect. all post about the same filtration specs as k&n but everyone says k&n is crap but they have been making filters a lot longer than most I just dont get it ? why are they inferior to other brands?

 

They are not inferior. If you clean it at regular intervals and do it properly you will be fine.

The other filters are fine too. For some reason hates K&N but I would not be scared of it. I think the AFE is popular because the belief is that with the 7layers you can pretty much neglect the filter and still keep dirt out?

Pick what you like.

 

2500 miles on my quad monster intake with outer wears, no dirt showing, nothing on the inlet of the compressor either. so i live in a clean environment, and the filter is doing its job.
