I was just watching trick my truck on cmt, and it was the one where they did the truck for the marine. They made him a shifter **** out of a K-BAR knife handle. I want to take this one step further and actually be able to pull my K-BAR out of the shifter. I have mine sandwiched between the console and the seat.

Anybody have any thoughts?

 

could be done BUT you have to find some way to fasten it in so you don't pull it out while shifting and cut yourself to ribbons. I think some sort of spring loaded catch that grabs the guard would work, easy acces when you want it and secure when you don't.

 

maybe find an old bayonet sheath and attach it some way?

 

I was thinking the same thing. Attach a Sheath to the shifter the actual shifter rod and then have the knife inside of that with possibly a tie down snap over the knife. Hate to pull the shifter a little too much and slice your arm off.

 

just dont get pulled over...........................................
