I posted these because there has been several mentions of the K31 Turbo recently in different threads. Most have not seen one or are not familiar with it.
This turbo in hybrid formed is used by many as a single and also is used in several different types of twin turbo applications.

The turbo in the above pictures is a Borg Warner Performance K-31 PN#172743

The turbo compressor wheel diameter is 71mm approx and the turbine is 76mm approx. The compressor wheel is machined from a billet piece of forged aluminum to a mirror like finish.

Chw,
I am already running one . I bought this as a backup.
HT3b is around the same size at this turbo...Just different. One thing that is nice about this is that it is wastegated.

With some more research this has what equates to a 24cm2 turbine housing making it perfect for a bottom turbo in a twins setup.

sure it's billet aluminum and not titanium? I know some of the Mack turbos went to a titanium comp wheel because they would frag the aluminum wheels w/ abandon
